Looking for a good laptop with long battery life. >5hrs under heavy use.
Any suggestions?

Looking at Lenovo and Sager brands specifically but not sure if anybody has a better suggestion. Not interested in alienware b/c I don't intend for the laptop to be used for gaming mostly.

Not interested in win8 and touch screen. if a pimp laptop has win8, i could use a program like Start8 to get around crappy 8 UI.

Anybody have any feedback on this subject? or a place to get maybe a good answer.
I'm asking around for my son, he's looking into a laptop for college that has enough battery life to last him through long lectures and back to back classes but doesn't want to sacrifice functionality. He's heard bad stuff about win8.

what do you look for in a good laptop? I've always had a PC. I've built a couple of PCs but haven't ever owned a laptop.

i'd look for hard drive space plus processor, graphics are always nice too, but the catch is battery plays off of it sometimes better parts require more power, so id read the reviews and find one with good paper stats and good reviews.

base stats would be like 750+drive, intel_i5+, 6-8 hours of battery+, and NIVIDA graphics are allways good but, most likely integrated will be fine.
